Windows are your home’s eyes to the world.

Window coverings add beauty and functionality to every room. There is an extensive range of fabrics from which to choose. In addition, privacy, R value, child safety lift systems, and sun protection come into play.

The brands I prefer to work with include Hunter Douglas, Blinds by Vertican and Lutron in order to find the best window coverings for your home. I provide selection-to-installation services.

Here are a couple of things you need to consider when thinking about window coverings.

Sheer Fabrics

Sheer fabrics soften and filter sunlight. To take privacy and light control to the next level, I recommend that you consider Top-Down/Bottom-Up window shades. These shades allow complete versatility in operation from the top down, bottom up, or in combination to meet all your privacy needs - while still giving you access to natural light.

Room Darkening blinds

While every blind provides some measure of light control, some room darkening shades offer more benefits than others. The key consideration when selecting room darkening blinds is fabric type and color. We look at semi-opaque and opaque fabrics which almost completely block the light. These fabrics darken a room, but do not entirely eliminate light.

Children and pets safety

Choose from an array of colors and materials that complement your nursery or teen’s room. Although we want nothing but the best for our children, cords can be a hazard for small children. With multiple lift system options from cordless, motorized, retractable lift cords, cord tensioners, and wand controls, your desired functions will be met. Don’t forget about custom shutters! They add astonishing beauty to the room and are cordless in design.
